Capy Timer  ·  Last Updated: August 2, 2026

Summary: Most Capy Timer settings stay on your device. On Android, the app uses Google Play for purchases and may offer eligible users an optional rewarded ad through Yandex Mobile Ads. The ad is never required to use the free timer. iOS does not use Yandex advertising. The app is intended for users aged 13 and older.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data We Do Not Ask You to Provide

Capy Timer does not ask you to provide:

1.1a Health Data Declaration (Google Play Policy)

As Capy Timer is categorized under "Health & Fitness" for relaxation and focus purposes, we explicitly declare that:

1.2 Data Processed on Android

1.2a Legacy Android Versions (4.2.4 and Earlier)

Android versions 4.2.4 and earlier may create an anonymous technical identifier through Firebase Authentication and store a Lifetime Pro entitlement record in Firebase Firestore. This is not a user-created account and does not require a name, email address, or phone number. Those legacy packages may also contain Firebase Messaging components. Beginning with Android version 4.2.5, Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Messaging are removed; Lifetime Pro status is obtained only from Google Play Billing purchase and restore results. During the update transition, legacy Firebase records may remain on Google's infrastructure. You may request deletion by contacting the privacy email below.

1.3 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following preferences are saved only on your device using Android SharedPreferences (Android) or iOS UserDefaults (iOS):

The app may inspect installed apps so you can choose what to open after a timer. That list is used locally by Capy Timer and is not uploaded by the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use local preferences to provide the timer and remember settings; store data to complete or restore Lifetime Pro purchases; and optional ad data to deliver and measure a rewarded ad requested by the user.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

Preferences are stored on your device:

Advertising and store providers process data on their own infrastructure and may process it in other countries as described in their policies.

3.2 Audio and Animation Assets

All audio files (sleep sounds) and animations (capybara graphics) are bundled directly within the app package. No network request is made to stream or download content after installation.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Payment Processing

In-app purchases (Pro version) are processed entirely by the platform's store:

We do not receive, store, or process any payment card or billing information. All transactions are handled exclusively by Google and Apple.

4.2 Optional Rewarded Advertising (Android)

Eligible users may voluntarily request a rewarded ad through the direct Yandex Mobile Ads SDK. Yandex may process IP address, Android advertising ID or other device identifiers, device/app/network information, and ad-delivery events under its Yandex Ads Privacy Policy. Capy Timer does not enable device-location transmission.

Before the first ad request, Android users can allow personalized advertising, choose limited advertising, or cancel. Capy Timer sends the saved consent value to Yandex Mobile Ads on every app launch and lets users change it later under Settings → Ad privacy choice. Lifetime Pro and restored-purchase users are not eligible for ad requests.

4.3 No General-Purpose Analytics or Crash SDK

Capy Timer does not integrate a general-purpose analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Advertising and store providers still create the service records described above.

5. Permissions

Capy Timer requests the following system permissions:

5.1 Android Permissions

5.2 iOS Permissions

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your name, contact details, or locally stored timer preferences. The Android services described above transmit limited data to Google and Yandex for app functionality, advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. Some privacy laws may define certain advertising disclosures as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising even when no money is paid for the data.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Data Deletion

Uninstall the app or clear its storage to remove local preferences. Store transaction records are controlled by Google or Apple, and advertising partners handle requests under their own policies.

7.2 Access to Your Data

You can review all stored preferences at any time via your device's app settings. On Android: Settings → Apps → Capy Timer → Clear data. On iOS: uninstalling the app removes all data.

7.3 Advertising and Consent Choices

Rewarded ads are optional: do not tap the ad entry if you do not want an ad request. Before the first request, choose personalized ads, limited ads, or cancel. You can change that choice later under Settings → Ad privacy choice, and reset or delete the Android advertising ID in device settings. Contact us if you need help exercising access, deletion, objection, restriction, or opt-out rights.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Equivalent)

Capy Timer is not directed at children under 13. The app is a productivity and sleep-aid tool intended for users aged 13 and older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using the app, please contact us at capytimer.help@outlook.com and we will take appropriate action.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents may have rights to know, correct, delete, and opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. We do not sell contact information. Advertising partners may process the limited identifiers and ad interaction data described above. Use the available consent/privacy choices or contact us to exercise your rights.

To submit a verifiable consumer request, contact: capytimer.help@outlook.com.

10. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

EU/EEA and UK users may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Yandex Ads explains its applicable consent and legitimate-interest bases in its policy. Advertising providers may process data internationally using the safeguards described in their policies and terms.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app's features change. Significant changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
